It’s been a while since I made my last update on here, but there isn’t really much to update you on. If you follow Esmée on twitter you noticed she does give bits and pieces away – like working in the studio – but sadly no major news. She tweeted something interesting yesterday:

I hope we finally hear some album/music related news. It’s been 3 years already since “Outta Here” was released, and I think we waited long enough to hear some new music from our girl. She also mentioned that she has an important photoshoot coming up.

   ‘It’s Summer Because We Say So’

   New single released October 28

   International star Esmée releases her new single ‘It’s Summer Because We Say So’ in the UK on October 28. The 23-year-old singer teamed up with producer Dan Havers for the new track, which was originally written for the Boots 17 Cosmetics commercial and quickly picked up by acclaimed label 3Beat for a worldwide release.

   Esmée first performed the single at T4 On The Beach and is excited about getting back on the road and showcasing the track. “I can’t wait to share my music with the world and meet all my fans and step into this new and exciting chapter of my life.”

   The Dutch-born star has spent the past 12 months predominantly in London, where she has been working to great effect with a wealth of fantastic writers & producers, including Matt Schwartz, Pete Martin, Andy Love, Alex Reid & Johnny Douglas, Sonny Mason & Jaiden ‘The Cure’, amongst others.

   Esmée originally rose to fame posting her own videos on YouTube. She has since amassed an impressive 200 million views on the channel, making her a household name in many parts of the world.

   Her debut album ‘Outta Here’ was released in 2009 and spawned the Top 10 single of the same name. She has enjoyed further success with her Justin Timberlake duet ‘Love Dealer’ and the UK No.3 single ‘Until You Were Gone’ with Chipmunk.

   ‘It’s Summer Because We Say So’ will be released in the UK through 3Beat on October 28.

   I dont understatement why they are realising à song about THE summer in october. They should have released the song in THE summer! THE artwork is a very old picture of esmee. Hope her album Will be released soon. Did esmee changes record label again?

   I think that cover is fanmade and just a temporary image. I doubt they’ll use a very old photo of a very young Esmée with brown hair…
